News for Sunday, August 12th, 2018 (amended)

(amendment note: the second paragraph below this sentence was amended for clarity)
  • Some audio streams connected to WDLT-FM, WBLX-FM, and WABD-FM each had audio of a certain discussion for a certain radio program (named "In Touch Gulf Coast") involving a certain speaker related to WBLX-FM in years past named named Mel Showers Junior (and "Mel the Mack") for a certain period of time between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. this Sunday (note: the one related to WDLT-FM had such audio during the last forty minutes of the hour of 5:00 a.m.; the one related to WBLX-FM had such audio during the first thirty minutes of the hour of 6:00 a.m; and the one related to WABD-FM had such audio during the last forty minutes of the hour of 6:00 a.m.).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the eleventh day of this August ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had one of its reporters (a sports reporter named Robby Baker) saying, "And in the land of fantastic soundbites, we end with this: gator hunting season is here and my main man Jason Carter got to check it out last night. When he saw his first alligator, well he was so excited, he described it in a very literal way, a certain video with audio of a certain voice similar to that of the news presenter for the program (Jason Carter) being used to say phrases such as, "Mouth wide open...", and "...an entire beautiful mouth of teeth" immediately afterwards (note #1: the video appeared to have had the second phrase immediately after the other one), the reporter and the news presenter laughing immediately afterwards, and the reporter saying, "That was the first thing -- look at this mouth. It's--it's got teeth. The mouth has teeth. Good job, buddy. I'm proud of you" immediately afterwards (note #2: the part of the program related to sports appeared to have had sounds similar to laughter while appearing to have had the reporter discussing other subjects before appearing to have had the statements attributed to him earlier in this paragraph).
  • The last part of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 7:00 a.m. on the Sunday of the twelfth day of this August ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had its news presenter (Asha Staples) saying, "A big congratulation goes out to FOX 10 evening anchor Bob Grip as he's accepted into the Alabama Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame", a certain video involving a certain (unidentified) being saying, "It is with honor and great pleasure that the Alabama Broadcasters Association inducts Bob Grip, one of Alabama's most illustrious broadcasters, into its hall of fame" and some digital graphics involving texts of "ABA HALL OF FAME" and "BOB GRIP TAKES HIS PLACE AMONG THE GREATS" immediately afterwards, the news presenter saying, "And this is video of Bob during his acceptance speech. Of course this is Bob's last year at FOX 10. He will officially retire in January of two thousand nineteen. Bob Grip has been part of FOX 10 News and the gulf coast community for over thirty years and he's spent almost fifty years in the world of broadcasting. So what a way for a legend in the news business to go out than to be inducted into the Abba Hall of Fame. Big congrats to you, Bob, and, of course, us here at FOX 10 will miss you" immediately afterwards, a certain reporter for parts of it related to weather (a weather reporter named Matt Barrentine) saying, "Yeah, great at what he does, but he's just a better person all the way around" immediately afterwards, the news presenter saying, "For sure" immediately afterwards, and the reporter saying, "Oh boy, he loves those grand babies, too. Let's go ahead and check things out there for us today. It's going to be hot, it's going to be humid -- uh, if you're going to be hanging out with your grand baby -- why not? -- You can do that, but just make sure you stay cool; it's going to be hot out there" immediately afterwards (note #1: a certain World Wide Web site related to WALA-TV appeared to had received an article with details similar to those of the first two statements attributed to the news presenter named Asha Staples earlier in this paragraph from its administration this Sunday (note #2: a certain Facebook page related to a certain member of the news operation for WALA-TV named Bob Grip appeared to had received some messages with details that also appeared similar to those of the statements from its administration on the Saturday of the eleventh day of this August)).
