- A Facebook page attributed to WKRG-TV appeared to have some message attributed to its administration dated for this Friday about this Friday being the last day a member of their local news operation named Emily DeVoe was to be a member of the operation along with a message attributed to her also dated for this Friday bidding farewell to other members of the operation along with images of her self and those other members.
- The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had an advertisement for one of
their local news programs ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") with audio of an
announcer (Jeff Davis) saying,
"This is how your mornings should start" at the beginning of it, "News 5 This Morning: The gulf coast's favorite morning team" in the
middle of it, and, "We're mornings done right" at the end of it this
Thursday of the thirty-first day of August for this calendar year.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. this Friday ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") had its news presenter (Devon Walsh) talking about what sounded like a plan for their main broadcast channel to have a special program about the football teams of the University of Alabama and Florida State University on the Saturday of the second day of this September (specifically during its hour of 4:00 p.m. and the first half of its hour of 5:00 p.m.).**
