News for Saturday, September 23rd, 2017

  • Some of the local news programming broadcast by WKRG-TV this past Friday on the twenty-second day of this September had some of the weather reporters for their local news operation (John Nodar and Thomas Geboy) commenting frequently about the start of astronomical autumn for this calendar year not feeling like autumn. 
  • The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had a video with the voice of an announcer claiming the channel was the "only way" to see a certain type of football game he said was to be part of its programming this Saturday earlier this calendar week (a game between the football teams of the University of Alabama and Vanderbilt University). 
  • This past Tuesday on the nineteenth day of this September, the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had an animated sequence that usually preceded reports of "breaking news" at the beginning of certain installments of some local news programs of theirs in recent times before having video of one of the news presenters and news reporters for their local news operation (Devon Walsh) introducing video of special news programming from their main provider of network programming (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) at an hour (9:00 a.m.) when it was usually set to have a local news program (named "WKRG News 5 at 9") with her as its news presenter for the first half of it before having a paid commercial program for the second half of it from Monday through Friday mornings in recent times before having a video with some disembodied voices used be speak about a return to "regularly scheduled [programming]" and some video of a visual and audible disclaimer that usually preceded paid commercial programs in its programming in recent times before having part of such a program for a few minutes before having a regular break for commercial and promotional videos before having a regular network program from the aforementioned provider ("The Price is Right")) at the beginning of the next hour for that Tuesday (the hour of 10:00 a.m.).
