- A Facebook page attributed to WKRG-TV had a message attributed to a user of Facebook named "Christina Andress" from a Facebook page attributed to "her" dated for the Thursday of the twenty-first day of this September about "her" having been hired for a position in weather reporting for WKRG-TV.
- The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had a logo for their broadcast operation that was not usually part of its programming in recent times besides the logo for their main provider of network programming (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) during its presentation of a national news program from the provider named "The CBS Evening News" during the second half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. this past Thursday.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. this past Thursday ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had its news presenter (Bob Grip) talking about a weather reporter for their local news operation and host of a local TV program of theirs dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles ("Studio 10") being honored at a "community awareness event" she was hosting this past Thursday while having video of what appeared to be her being honored there (it also had him and the weather reporter for the program (Jason Smith) commenting about the honor afterwards; as for the name of the reporter and host honored at the event, it was Chasity Byrd).
- The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV had a ticker with messages about a certain contract between the holding company (or "parent company") for WALA-TV (the Meredith Corporation) and the holding company for some distributors of their programming (the American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T)) expiring this Friday and the possibility of the system losing access to their programming if the companies do not have a deal to replace it by this Friday (this was the message: "AT&T AND DIRECTV SUBSCRIBERS: Unless a deal is reached, AT&T and DIRECTV with drop WALA on September 22nd. Call 1-800-531-5000 (AT&T) and 1-800-288-2020 (DirecTV) and tell AT&T and DIRECTV to keep WALA. Visit: www.fox10tv.com for more information").
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. this Friday ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") had its news presenter (Devon Walsh) talking about a news reporter for their local news operation (Hayley Minogue) joining them by telephone because some camera equipment of theirs "going through some security clearance" before having audio of a person identified by some graphics and text as the reporter explaining how the equipment (she said it was basically all of the equipment needed for her to broadcast, including a "laptop") was being cleared and why (her explanation included the possibility of the holder of the position of the president of the United States visiting where she located (the city of Huntsville in the northern part of the state of Alabama) later this Friday.
