(note: one of the paragraphs of the report titled "News for Friday, September 1st, 2017" was amended)
  • A Facebook page attributed to a weather reporter for the local news operation at WPMI-TV (Chris Dunn) appeared to have had video of a live TV program about a football game involving the football teams for two high schools in the local broadcast area for WPMI-TV this past Friday on the first day of this September (the name of the program was "The UTV44 High School Football Game of the Week"; the name of its station was WJTC-TV*).
  • A Facebook page attributed to WFNA-TV had a message attributed to its administration dated for the Thursday of the thirty-first day of August about a plan for their main broadcast channel to have some programs from their main provider of network programming (the CW) on a calendar day when it was not usually set to have such programs in recent times (a Sunday, specifically the Sunday of the third day of this September).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. and the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. this past Friday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") had some video of a report about a member of their local news operation (Joseph Blake (J. B.) Biunno) conducting an interview in a way he said was "new" to the computer program he said he had used conduct it (the name of the program was said to had been "Facebook Live"; as for what he said was the way this particular interview was conducted, he said it involved using a "split screen" feature)
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Friday of the first day of this September ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") had one of the news reporters for their local news operation (Debbie Williams) referring to the main lawyer of the federal government of the United States (Jefferson (Jeff) Sessions) as a type of football player ("quarterback") and a conference involving him as a "pep rally" for a live report about the meeting itself after the program had some reports related to football (one of which was mentioned in a previous report for this weblog).
(*WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV were related to each other due to their being members of a holding company named the Sinclair Broadcast Group)
