News for Sunday, December 20th, 2015 (amended)

(amendment note: another paragraph was added to this report and more information was added to the paragraph about a new "marketing campaign" for WALA-TV) 

• The cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile started having programming from the TV programming service of the Mobile County Public School System (MCPSS TV) on a continuous basis again by the second half of this calendar week after having been without it that way for a few days earlier this month (the channel usually had a static picture of a child beside the words "Ask About Your Child's Day"). 

• This Sunday's edition of WALA-TV's local news program for Sunday nights ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") began with animated graphics and music that were normally used for introducing announcements about "breaking news" on it in recent times instead of the animated graphics that were normally used to begin new editions of it (the animated graphics that were normally used usually had audio of the main announcer for their local news programming in recent times (Greg O'Neill) saying, "Committed to you: FOX 10 News at 9:00").  

• WALA-TV had some promotions for a new "marketing campaign" attributed to them named "the FOX10 Surprise Squad" on their local news program for Sunday nights ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m."), their official World Wide Web site, and their official Facebook page today (the promotion on the local news program for Sunday nights involved video of one of the news presenters for WALA-TV (Lenise Ligon) talking about the campaign and video of her and another news presenter for WALA-TV (Sarah Wall) meeting various persons in various locations).
