News for Thursday, December 17th, 2015

• Two radio announcers for WRGV-FM (Matt McCoy and Greg Hill) appeared on the local midday news program for WPMI-TV ("Local 15 News at Noon") today as part of a contest involving one of them (Greg Hill). 

• One of the hosts for a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles (Joe Emer of "Studio 10" for WALA-TV) explained why he was late for this past Wednesday's (December 16th) edition while part of today's edition of it (he said he was allowed by WALA-TV to attend an event involving one of his children before appearing on the program later than usual). 

• Between this past Wednesday (December 16th) and today, some of the local news programs for WPMI-TV had weather forecasts that were made specifically for folks who may had been planning on seeing a particular theatrical movie set to be shown at various movie theaters for the first time today (the forecasts usually had animated graphics based on certain objects associated with the movie (they consisted of two light sabers and two space ships); as for the name of the movie, it was "Star Wars: The Force Awakens").
