News for Wednesday, December 16th, 2015
- Videos of members of the military of the United States from the designated market area of Mobile, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida greeting relatives of theirs started appearing on the local morning news program for WPMI-TV ("Local 15 Today") on a regular basis by this past Monday, December 14th.
- The voice of the traffic reporter for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (Kenny Fowler) was lower than usual in his traffic reporting for their local news program for the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") today (the weather reporter for the program (John Nodar) had expressed sympathy for him while part of a weather segment for
today's edition of the program since the tone of his own voice
occasionally became lower than usual).
- WPMI-TV and WKRG-TV each had a report from a person within a separate part of their holding (or parent) company (the Sinclair Broadcast Group for WPMI-TV; Media General for WKRG-TV) without any references to that company on their local news programs for the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. ("Local 15 Today" and "WKRG News 5 This Morning") today (both reports were about a discussion involving candidates for the presidency of the United States this past Tuesday, December 15th; the one for WPMI-TV was recorded whereas the one for WKRG-TV was live).
