- According to an obituary published by the Mobile Press-Register this past Wednesday on the nineteenth day of this October, a former engineer for WKRG-TV named Charles Iven Edwards died this past Monday on the seventeenth day of this October.
- WPMI-TV had two 106th birthdays (for two different persons) acknowledged on a regular feature of their local news program for Monday through Friday mornings ("Local 15 Today") before having reports about how one of those birthdays was celebrated this past Wednesday (WALA-TV and WKRG-TV also had reports about how that birthday was celebrated).
- One of the hosts for a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles (Joe Emer of "Studio 10" for the main broadcast channel of WALA-TV) made fun of the fact the edition of the program broadcast this past Wednesday was broadcast in the same time period that a nationally-syndicated TV program also dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles was broadcast locally that day ("The Rachael Ray Show" for the main broadcast channel of WEAR-TV) after a guest of the edition of the program he hosted (Lucy Greer of Greer's Markets and Catering in the city of Prichard in southwest Alabama) talked about some personal memories she had about the host for the syndicated program (Rachael Ray).
