News for Sunday, October 30th, 2016 (amended)
(amendment note: the first and third paragraphs of this report were amended for clarity and additional information)
- The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV did not have a new edition of a local TV program of theirs dedicated to legal advice that was usually part of its programming on Sunday evenings in recent times after having a local news program of theirs and a network program about a live
football game from their main provider of network programming in accordance with how it was usually part of its programming on Sunday evenings before this Sunday (the
name of the legal advice program was "Local 15 LawCall"; the name of the
network program was "Sunday Night Football"; the name of the
provider of the network program was the National Broadcasting Company (NBC); as for the name of the program that appeared on the channel a few minutes after the local news program this Sunday, it was "CSI: Miami" (a dramatic syndicated program)).
- The local news program that usually appeared on the main broadcast
channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on
Saturday and Sunday in recent times (it was usually titled "FOX 10 News
in the Morning" (it was even called "FOX 10 News weekend morning
edition" by one of its weather reporters)) was not set to appear on the
channel during the hour of 7:00 a.m. this Sunday due to a plan for the
channel to have a weekly network news and discussion program their main
provider of network programming ("FOX News Sunday" from the FOX Broadcasting Company) one hour earlier than usual this Sunday on account
of a plan for the channel to have special programming about a live
football game from the same provider during its regular time period.
- This past Saturday on the twenty-ninth day of his October, the main
broadcast channels for WPMI-TV and WKRG-TV had local news programs
during a time period in which other types of programs were planned for
them (a syndicated home improvement program for WKRG-TV ("Today's Homeowner with Danny Lipford") and a syndicated comedy for WPMI-TV ("Two and a Half Men")
between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.) in accordance with their regular
programming plans for Saturday evenings in recent times (between 6:30
p.m. and 7:00 p.m.) a few minutes after having programs about live
football games from their main providers of network programming (the
Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) was
the one for WKRG-TV) during time periods in which local news
programming was planned for them in accordance with those plans (5:00
p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for WPMI-TV; 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for WKRG-TV).
