- The cable TV system operated by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile started providing a matted (or framed) version of the main programming feed for WPMI-TV through one of its standard-definition channels this morning, specifically the one that usually had a "cropped" (or magnified) version of the feed before then.
- The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV had a promotional video about a
new sponsor and name for their companion station's (WJTC-TV) plan for broadcasting live football games between various football teams
representing various high schools in their local broadcast areas this calendar year (the name of the sponsor was UA Early College; the name of the plan was "The UA Early College UTV44 Game of the Week").
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV last Sunday on the second day of this October ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Sunday") had reports about one of the weather reporters for their local news operation (John Nodar) playing drums as part of a group of musicians named "Dave and the Butts" (and "DatBs" for brevity) at a festival specialized in live musical performances in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama (the "TenSixtyFive" music festival).
