- The main broadcast channel for WEAR-TV had a paid commercial program (or
"infomercial") in place of a syndicated news program dedicated to
entertainment ("Extra") that was
usually part of its regular programming plan for Monday through Friday
(for the second half of the hour of 11:00 a.m. for those days) in recent
times this Monday.*
- An image described as being of a former radio station located in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama named WALA was posted onto the official Facebook page for one of the news presenters for the local news operation at WALA-TV (Bob Grip) with a message about it being the first of several images related to the former station to be posted onto the page earlier this November.
- The sports reporter for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (Randy Patrick Setterstrom) sang the words, "When you wish upon a 'CW55 Star' " on their local news program for the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. for this Monday a few seconds after one of its news presenters (Rose Ann Haven) promoted a plan by their companion station (WFNA-TV) to hold auditions for a new promoter for their broadcast operation ("The CW55 Star") this Saturday on the third day of this December in the city of Foley in southwest Alabama.
(*the same type of program took the place of the news program on the same channel in the same time period on the same day of the week in the past)
