- The first part of a new edition of a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles ("Studio 10"
for WALA-TV) did not begin like the first parts of most of its previous
editions (those past editions began with an animated title sequence; as
for how this edition began, it began with video of its hosts (Joe Emer and Chasity Byrd)
pretending to be characters in theatrical movies like the
"Ghostbusters" movie originally shown publicly in the year 1984
(the host named Chasity Byrd pretended to be one of the characters who
captured ghosts whereas the one named Joe Emer pretended to be one of those ghosts, specifically the one named "Slimer").
- The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had a programming segment with audio of the announcer for the opening segments of their local news programs (Jay Gardner) saying, "Due to special CBS sports [football] coverage next Saturday [on the fifth day of November this calendar year], children's programming normally seen from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. can be seen from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Thanks for watching WKRG News 5" (this would mean the channel would only have the first half of a network news program from their main provider of network programming ("CBS This Morning: Saturday" from the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) this Saturday (between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.).*
(*according to the guides to the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV from
Zap2it,
TitanTV, and
TV Guide,
the "special coverage" was expected to appear on the channel by the second half of the hour of 10:00 a.m. that day and the type of programming it would have during the first half would be "paid programming" (or "infomercials"))
