News for Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016 (corrected)
(correction note: part of the name used in reference to the network TV program mentioned in the third paragraph of this report was corrected)
- One of the hosts for the local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that usually appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV from Monday through Friday in recent times (Joe Emer of "Studio 10") used the last few seconds of its broadcast for this Wednesday to tell its audience the edition of the program set for broadcast this Thursday on the twenty-fourth day of this November was a "best of cooking" edition.
- The news presenters on the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this Wednesday (Mel Showers and Rose Ann Haven on "WKRG News 5 at 10") had erroneously referred to a recent candidate for the presidency of the United States (Donald Trump) by the word "president" while presenting reports related to him (the one named Mel Showers used it with the word "incoming" ("incoming president") whereas as the one named Rose Ann Haven used it with the surname of the candidate ("President Trump")).
- The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV had some scrolling text (between graphics normally used for their local news programs in recent times) concerning whether their programming feed for the channel would still be accessible through DirecTV and AT&T U-verse TV after the Thursday of the first day of this December or not during its presentation of a special historical program from their main provider of network programming (the name of the program was "Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 90th Celebration"; the name of its provider was the National Broadcasting Company (NBC)).
