News for Tuesday, November 1st, 2016
- The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first halves of the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. this Tuesday ("WKRG News 5 at 5" and "WKRG News 5 at 6") had news reports (such as this one) with one of their reporters (Pat Peterson) posing a comment about the subject of the reports ("That's pretty low down") for one of the persons interviewed for the reports.
- The sports reporter for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (Randy Patrick Setterstrom) said a golfer for the University of Alabama (Steven Setterstrom) was his nephew immediately after presenting a report about him on the sports segment of the local news program that
appeared on their main broadcast channel during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this past Monday on the
thirty-first day of this past October ("WKRG News 5 at 6"),
- The news presenter on the local news program that appeared on the main
broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. this past Monday (Darwin Singleton on "Local 15 Today") used
a part of the program normally used for acknowledging birthdays to acknowledge a news reporter for WPMI-TV
(Jasmine Williams) giving birth to a person last Friday on the twenty-eighth of this past October (note: he also acknowledged her husband (Clinton Bourgeois), a camera operator for WKRG-TV, while congratulating them on the birth).
