- One of the news presenters for the local news program that appeared
on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m.
this past Friday on the eighteenth day of this November (Bob Grip
on "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") used the first segment of the program to
tell its audience they knew before the rest of the world that a member
of the Senate of the United States from the state of Alabama (Jefferson (Jeff) Sessions)
was chosen for the position of lawyer for the federal government of the
United States (or "attorney general", as it was
usually called by then).
- The
local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this past Friday on the eighteenth day of this November ("Local 15 News
at 6 p.m.") had what appeared to be video
of a live ceremony involving the lighting of a Christmas tree in the
down-town area of the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama
whereas the one that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV
during the same time period ("WKRG News 5 at 6") had what appeared to be
a video recording of the same ceremony afterwards (the channel for WKRG-TV had a promotional video while the channel for WPMI-TV had video of the ceremony).
