- A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Friday of the thirteenth day of this October ("Studio 10") had one of its hosts (Sarah Wall*) claiming "everybody's kids" liked meatballs for a part of the program involving meatballs.
- The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first and second halves of the hour of 5:00 a.m., the first and second halves of the hour of 6:00 p.m.**, and the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this Saturday, ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday", "WKRG News 5 at 6"**, and "WKRG News 5 at 10" respectively) had an animated sequence made specifically for introducing the weather reporter each of them had (Christina Andress) involving a voice not normally used in the animated sequences made specifically for introducing the other weather reporters for some of the other local news programming they had in recent times (Alan Sealls, John Nodar, and Thomas Geboy***).
- A local TV dedicated to discussing various topics for WSRE-TV named "inStudio" had a discussion of how their broadcast operation came to be over the course of its existence in observance of the fiftieth anniversary of the day it started broadcasting on a regular basis (the Monday of the eleventh day of September for the calendar year 1967) this past September (the anniversary was also a Monday that September) and a discussion of how a radio station near southwest Alabama in the city of Pensacola in the state of Florida named WCOA-AM came to be over the course of its existence in observance of the ninetieth anniversary of the day their own broadcast operation started broadcasting on a regular basis (the Wednesday of the third day of February for the calendar year 1926) back in the calendar year 2016 (the anniversary was also a Wednesday).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV around the middle of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this Saturday ("WKRG News 5 at 6") had its news presenter (Ashley Knight) saying a "technical difficulty" occurred in its presentation of some programming it had concerning a football game involving the football teams for Auburn University and Louisiana State University earlier this Saturday before apologizing for what she said was a "seven-minute blackout" in its presentation caused by the "difficulty" before claiming engineers said the reason for it was due to a certain bypass switch failing and that changes were made to resolve it before apologizing again for it (she said it was for "fans" of "Auburn" and "LSU" while doing so without saying whether she was referring to the football teams mentioned earlier or to the universities represented by them).****
