News for Sunday, October 22nd, 2017

  • The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV appeared to have a local TV program dedicated to discussing news and public affairs that had been part of its programming during the second half of the hour of 5:00 a.m. on Sunday on an infrequent basis in recent times ("Rise & Shine") this Sunday (the channel had a different program during that time period on the Sunday before this one on the fifteenth day of this October).  
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 6:00 a.m. this Sunday ("FOX 10 News at 6:00 a.m.") had its news presenter (Asha Staples) telling its audience that they were "sleeping" during a certain event while presenting a report related to it (this is how she did it: "Breaking news out of Mobile this morning: while you were sleeping, Mobile Fire-Rescue responded to an early morning apartment fire").
  • The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channels for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 6:00 pm. and the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Friday of the twentieth day of this October ("WKRG News 5 at 6:30" and "WKRG News 5 at 10" respectively) each had a box with a portion of a video it was set to have with a news report beside a box with video of one or both of its news presenters (Mel Showers and Rose Ann Haven) describing the report immediately before having it along with the rest of the video and the portion of it that appeared in one of the boxes outside of it. 
  • The main programming feed for WDLT-FM had a type of programming that was part of its programming during the first half of the hour of 6:00 a.m. on the Sunday of the fifteenth day of this October instead of the second half of the hour of 5:00 a.m. in accordance to its regular programming plan for that period of time for Sunday in recent times during that very time period for this Sunday (programming dedicated to discussing news and public affairs under the name "In Touch Gulf Coast") before having the type of programming it had instead of it during that period of time that Sunday during the first half of the hour of 6:00 a.m. for this Sunday (music programming).
  • A local radio program dedicated to discussing news and public affairs broadcast by WNSP-FM during the first half of the hour of 6:00 a.m. and WZEW-FM during the first half of the hour of 7:00 a.m. this Sunday had its host suggesting to some guests of his that they be his "co-hosts" for future installments of it and that they "throw in" plans for an organization of theirs (Mobile Baykeeper) after hosting with him as part of those installments before having him saying a plan to make the program "sort of a bigger thing in the future ("if people are interested in that")" was "in the works" and his discussing ideas such as having "musical guests" in future installments of it, making it " a one-hour show", adding "a little bit more variety" to it, "giving it a better time slot", and expanding it "a little bit beyond [the non-profit organizations and events]".
