News for Monday, October 23rd, 2017
- The main broadcast channel had WALA-TV had its programming appearing within itself (pictures within pictures) at least once sometime between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the twenty-second day of this October.
- A Facebook page attributed to a weather reporter for the local news
operation at WALA-TV named Michael White appeared to have had live video
of him along with audio of his describing certain parts of the broadcast facility for the news operation during the broadcast of one of its news programs ("FOX 10 News
at 9:00 p.m.") on the Wednesday of the eleventh day of this October.
- The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV had video of one of the weather reporters for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (John Nodar) shouting, "Touchdown Alabama!" in a way similar to that of a certain radio announcer who often said the same phrase the same way in some radio broadcasts of his in years past (Eli Gold) after the name of the announcer was mentioned by a person he was interviewing for a type of news program that was usually set to be part of its programming during the last five minutes of the first and second halves of the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times (usually after having parts of a national news program from the main provider of network programming for WKRG-TV (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) named "CBS This Morning") this Monday (he said, "Sorry" to both of his guests for the program immediately after the shouting).
- A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that
appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of
9:00 a.m. this Monday ("Studio 10") had one of its hosts (Michael White)
appearing to respond to certain comments regarding some special programs related to weather that appeared on the channel in place of other programs on the Sunday of the twenty-second day of this October after its other host (Chasity Byrd) said they had give a "shout out" to some of the weather reporters for the
local news operation at WALA-TV (Matt Barrentine and Adam Olivier) for
some work she said they did that Sunday without being very specific to which she was referring (one of the reporters appeared on at least one of those special programs; as for how the host named Michael White appeared to respond to the aforementioned comments regarding those programs, this is how he appeared to do so: "They (the weather reporters) did such a great job and
the timing is never great when it's
during football, but to all the haters and the trolls out there who
were writing these nasty things on Facebook and e-mailing them; there
are multiple ways to stream games. It's just a football game. Peoples'
lives are the most important thing and we will always put that up as the
top priority. So kudos to them (note: both hosts were also weather
reporters for the local news operation at WALA-TV (the one named Michael White was not a
regular host for the program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles)).
