- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. this past Tuesday on the third day of this October ("WKRG News 5 at 6:30") had video of one of the sports reporters for their local news operation (Randy Patrick Setterstrom) speaking with an analyst of football for their main provider of network programming (Randy Cross of the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)).
- A Facebook page attributed to WKRG-TV had a message attributed to its administration dated for the Tuesday of the third day of this October concerning a message attributed to a news reporter for their local news operation (Hayley Minogue) from a Facebook page attributed to her about the idea of her getting a "raise" from a "boss" of hers for having a certain number of "likes" for the Facebook page attributed to her and the idea of the "boss" wearing a jumpsuit if the page were to have have another certain number of "likes".
- A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles ("Studio 10" for WALA-TV) had video of a news conference (involving the governor of the state of Florida) for a few minutes (between an interview and some cooking) during the hour of 9:00 a.m. this Thursday (it initially had video of it with a volume of audio lower than than of its own video between having one of its hosts (Michael White*) saying they were having audio problems before speaking to the guests mentioned earlier for a few seconds before presenting video of the news conference with a volume of audio higher than that of the other video of it).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. this Thursday ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had one of its news presenters (Joe Emer**) saying, "Tomorrow morning be sure to tune in to the news starting at four o'clock" while having a graphic of some letters and numbers appearing to proclaim "FOX10 NEWS STARTING AT 4AM" over his torso whereas the local news program appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this Thursday ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") had the other news presenter for the other program (Lenise Ligon) saying,"Join our morning crew at 4 a.m. tomorrow" for the last few seconds of its installment with him (note: the channel was not usually set to have local news programming during the first half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. in recent times).***
(***update for Friday, October 6th, 2017: the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV had an episode of a syndicated program that was usually part of its regular programming plan for the first half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. for Monday through Friday in recent times ("How I Met Your Mother") during the first minute of that hour this Friday before having some local news programmings of theirs afterwards (beginning with an animated sequence normally used for "breaking news" in some of the other local news programming they had in recent times before having its news presenters (Eric Reynolds and Sarah Wall) presenting news without having introduced their selves)
