- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. this Monday ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") had its news presenter (Bill Riales) saying, "And this is a look at the white house where all flags have been put at half staff for the victims of the shooting" while video of a (white) house with a flag at the top of its staff appeared.
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. and the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. this Monday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") had one of the news reporters for their local news operation (Katarina Luketich) saying the words "butt dialed" for a news report (she said a certain person thought this was the reason for her being contacted by telephone and that it was done by mistake*).
- The main broadcast channel for WEAR-TV had special news programming from their main provider of network programming (the American Broadcasting Company (ABC)) for about two-thirds of the period of time in which its programming was usually set to consist of a local news program of theirs named "3 in the Morning" from Monday through Friday in recent times (those "two-thirds" included the second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. and the hour of 5:00 a.m.) before having it for about the rest of that period of time (the hour of 6:00 a.m.) this Monday.
- The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV had special news programming (about a speech by the holder of the position of president of the United States) from their own news operation between parts of a local TV program of theirs dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles ("Studio 10") for a few minutes during the last ten minutes of the hour of 9:00 a.m. this Monday (one of the hosts for the program (Chasity Byrd) said they would have such a speech in their programming whereas its other host (Michael White**) said some of the news presenters for their local news operation (Eric Reynolds*** and Sarah Wall) were standing by in case "anything breaks")
