News for Friday, January 26th, 2018

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the twenty-third day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have had a video of a certain report involving a former sports reporter for the news operation at WALA-TV (Rob Lehocky).  
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the twenty-third day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m") had its news presenters (Lee Peck* and Lenise Ligon) discussing a movie made in the cities of Mobile and Fairhope in southwest Alabama named "Get Out" after presenting news of it being nominated for awards.   
  • The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on the Tuesday of the twenty-third day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m." and "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m." respectively) each appeared to have a video of a report concerning a tour involving a certain member of the news operation at WALA-TV (Matt Barrentine) and a certain school in their local broadcast area. 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the twenty-fourth day of this January ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had its news presenter (Lenise Ligon) saying, "FOX 10 News is committed to our local communities and today congressman Bradley Byrne hosted several town-hall meetings to hear from you, your concerns about what's going on in Washington,  and you've probably noticed that my co-anchor, Bob Grip, isn't here; that's because he was with the congressman as he canvassed the area. Check it out" before having a video of what appeared to had been the "co-anchor" and the "congressman" she appeared to had been referencing.
  • A certain radio program on an Internet audio stream attributed to WHEP-AM (named "America's 1st News") was usually interrupted by audio of a certain song ("The Star-Spangled Banner") during the last two minutes of the hour of 5:00 a.m. on a daily basis earlier this calendar week (note: the stream usually had two separate announcements related to WHEP-AM immediately after having audio of the song during that period of day on the same basis earlier this calendar week (such as "Good morning, everybody, this is Radio Baldwin County, Alabama, WHEP thirteen ten (1310) AM, Foley, Alabama signing on the air for another day's broadcast service for southwest Alabama and northwest Florida. WHEP broadcasts on a frequency of thirteen hundred ten kilocycles as authorized by the Federal Communications Commission [in] Washington D. C. Now stay tuned for the six o'clock news" and, "Radio Baldwin WHEP thirteen ten (1310), Foley, Alabama..." in regards to this Friday").
