News for Saturday, May 12th, 2018
- The main broadcast channel for WFNA-TV appeared to had the same theatrical movie that appeared to had been part of its programming for the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. for previous Saturday (the one for the fifth day of this May) during the ones for this Saturday (note: the name of the movie was "Shrek 2").
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. on the Friday of
the eleventh day of this May ("WKRG News 5 at 6") appeared to have had
one of its news presenters (Mel Showers) saying, "As we first told
you yesterday at six o'clock" and a report involving the words, "It's the world we live in these days: you swipe
your card all the time, it's an easy way to pay, but you have to be
careful".
- Some of the local news programming WKRG-TV had on their main broadcast
channel earlier this May occasionally had a certain weather reporter for
their news operation named Alan Sealls saying, "The spirit of seventy-six"
for parts of it related to weather (for example: the local news program
that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 10:00
p.m. on the Friday of the twelfth day of this May appeared to have had
the reporter saying it as part of this sentence: "Right now we're at the
spirit of seventy-six in downtown Mobile -- seventy-six degrees").
- One of the digital sub-channels for WEAR-TV appeared to have had been used to broadcast a certain group of programs for a certain brand of programming (named "KidsClick") that often appeared to had been used in the programming of the main programming feed for their companion station (WFGX-TV) for other periods of time on a daily basis in recent times instead of any programming for a national TV programming service that usually appeared to had been part of its own programming feed on a continuous basis during those times (named TBD) during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. for this Saturday (update for Sunday, May 13th: the sub-channel appeared to have had a group of programs for the same brand of programming during the hours of 6:00 a.m., 7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m. for this Sunday (note: WEAR-TV and WFGX-TV were related to each other by ownership)).
- The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for
WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. on the Friday of
the eleventh day of this May ("WKRG News 5 at 6:30") appeared to have had one of its reporters
(a sports reporter named Randy Patrick Setterstrom) saying, "We had an e-mail, uh, sent to us
suggesting we're going overboard reporting on private school success in
high-school athletics from the Mobile area, but let's just face it; the private schools do a lot better in spring sports -- in fact all of
our private schools that was teams that we have been reporting on --
almost exclusively all private schools in baseball and soccer, but
that's not the case when you run from August to May" and, "Overall
public schools win far more championships in the state of Alabama than
private schools" to one of its other reporters a news reporter named Peter Albrecht)).
- The last parts of the local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 7:00 a.m. and the hour of 9:00 p.m. this Saturday ("FOX 10 News at 7:00 a.m." and "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m." respectively) each appeared to have had a certain graphic involving texts of "PROGRAMMING NOTE", "SATURDAY, MAY 19", "ROYAL WEDDING 6AM - 8AM", and "FOX 10 NEWS 8AM - 10AM" while having audio of their respective news presenters (Asha Staples and Shelby Myers) presenting a report involving some of its details immediately after presenting other reports involving the words "royal wedding" in a consecutive way after one of their respective breaks from appearing on the channel in their respective periods of time this Saturday (note #1: the first program mentioned appeared to have the news presenter named Asha Staples saying this while having the aforementioned graphic: "Again, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to tie the knot in Windsor next Saturday, May nineteenth, and you're invited to watch. It will be aired right here on FOX 10 from six a.m. until eight a.m. So that means our newscasts will air a little bit later than usual on that day. Our newscast will air in its entirety immediately following the royal wedding from eight a.m. to ten a.m. next Saturday; so be sure to keep that in mind and we'll, of course, remind you as we get closer." (note #2: the first program mentioned appeared to have had this conversation between the aforementioned Asha Staples and one of its reporters (a weather reporter named Matt Barrentine) immediately after having the aforementioned report: Asha Staples: Are you excited? Matt Barrentine: Why if I did not know that I'd be happy to know we'd be on later next Saturday. Asha Staples: (laughs). Matt Barrentine: I just found out. Asha Staples: "We just got the e-mail yesterday. Matt Barrentine: Well, ok, Well I do, too [unintelligible]. Asha Staples: (laughs). Matt Barrentine All right, let's go check up on your forecast -- I do keep up with that (note #3: the second program mentioned appeared to have had the news presenter named Shelby Myers saying this while having the aforementioned graphic: "Now again, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to tie the knot in
Windsor next Saturday, May nineteenth, and you're invited to watch. It'll air right here on FOX 10 from six a.m. until eight a.m. So
that means our news will air a little later than usual. We'll come to you on air immediately after the
royal wedding. We'll be on from eight a.m. to ten a.m. next Saturday, but we'll be sure to remind you again as its gets closer. (note #4: the second program mentioned appeared to have had this conversation between the aforementioned Shelby Myers and the aforementioned Matt Barrentine immediately after having the aforementioned report: Shelby Myers: Uh, I'm interested, I'm going to watch. I figure -- at least record it. Matt Barrentine: Well I'll be here getting the forecast for you. Shelby Myers: So you'll be here anyways. Matt Barrentine: I'll catch some of it for sure.)))).
