News for Thursday, October 26th, 2017 (amended)

• A Facebook page attributed to WALA-TV appeared to have had live video of a public meeting involving some of the weather reporters for the local news operation at WALA-TV (Chasity Byrd, Matt Barrentine, Jason Smith, Michael White, and Adam Olivier) this Thursday whereas the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this Thursday ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") had video of a report concerning it.  

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the twenty-fifth day of this October ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") had what appeared to had been live video of a sports reporter for the local news operation at WALA-TV (Bri MacNaught) hitting balls with a baseball bat before and after having some video of a person identified by her as having been part of a baseball team named the "LA Dodgers" (Todd Maulding).

• A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the second half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. this Thursday ("Gulf Coast Today") had one of its hosts (Terra Reeves) telling one of its other hosts (Jake Dunne) that he must love "seafood" and that doing so was a "requirement" for him after referring to him as a "newbie to the gulf coast" after having a video of various persons in various remote locations appearing to express love for having certain sea creatures prepared as such food.

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the twenty-sixth day of this October ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had one of its reporters (Alexa Knowles) appearing to express what might or might not had been her own personal feelings related to some video of a report (concerning police using certain cars as bait) narrated by her immediately after having the video itself (this is how she did so: "And (John) Barber says he hopes doing these things will make people think twice about stealing someone else's vehicle. We saw a couple of people do the opposite; they actually called the car in saying the keys were still inside, so that was nice seeing good people doing the right thing. Reporting live at MPD headquarters, Alexa Knowles, FOX 10 News".

• The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Saturday of the twenty-first day of this October ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had its news presenter (Ashley Knight) saying, "Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this tough time" after presenting a report of a certain person having died before having her referring to some former holders of the position of president of the United States by words words commonly used in referring to members of certain political parties in the United States (the Democratic Party and the Republican Party) while presenting a report of their having attended a type of concert (this is what she said while doing so: "Democrats Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, and Jimmy Carter, and republicans George H. W. and George W. Bush, gathered on stage in College Station, Texas, home of Texas A&M, putting aside politics to try to unite the country after the storms").
