News for Monday, June 15th, 2015 (corrected)
- A news reporter for WKRG-TV referred to the Supreme Court of the United States by the acronym "SCOTUS" while doing a live report about them on a local news program for WKRG-TV between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. today (the name of the reporter was Chad Petri; the name of the news program was "WKRG News 5 This Morning").
- A weather reporter for WKRG-TV (John Nodar) used a segment of today's edition of their local 9:00 a.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 9") for displaying various items found on the World Wide Web ("Around the Web and Around the World) to comment about an aerospace exhibition (the 51st Paris Air Show) involving representatives of the government of the city of Mobile while introducing a video recording from a company represented at the exhibition that was found on the World Wide Web (this is what he said: "...the Paris Airshow: we're out there promoting Airbus in a big way because we're all pro-Airbus--well, this is from--well, the bad guys. This is from Boeing: a rehearsal of their air show".)
(correction note: the second paragraph originally had the word "an" at the beginning instead of the word "the" before being replaced by it to reflect the fact that Barbara Charnetski was the only account executive and community liaison for Alabama Public Radio at the time of her appearance on the local news segment for WKRG-TV)
