- The main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV* recently had a new edition of a series of local programming segments normally broadcast by them and their companion station WJTC-TV in which special deals by businesses in their local broadcast areas were usually promoted differed from previous editions of it not having video of the person who presented it or news related to entertainment (the series usually had such news precede information about special deals; as for the name of the series itself, it was "The 16 Weeks of Summer").
- The person who presented the most recent edition of the series of local programming segments described in the first paragraph was not an employee of a radio station in the broadcast areas of WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV or an employee of WPMI-TV and WJTC-TV like previous editions of the series; he was actually an announcer with his own business who did many announcements for WPMI-TV over the past 27 calendar years (he first started working for WPMI-TV in the October of the year 1988; as for his name, it was Jerry Thompson).
- This past Monday's (June 1st) edition of a national TV program titled "Jimmy Kimmel Live" had video of the news presenter for that day's edition of WKRG-TV's local 9:00 am news program (Devon Walsh of "WKRG News 5 at 9") saying, "Another Kardashian to keep up with" and video of one of the presenters for that day's edition of WALA-TV's local entertainment and lifestyle program (Chasity Byrd of "Studio 10") saying, "One more Kardashian to keep up with" along with videos of other presenters for local TV programs outside of the TV market for Mobile saying either the same phrases or phrases similar to them in reference to news about the pregnancy of a member of a family usually featured in a national TV program named for her and other members of her family titled "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" (the first name of this particular member was Kimberly, even though she was usually referenced by the nickname Kim).
