News for Thursday, June 18th, 2015
- Between 5:00 a.m. and 5:05 a.m. today, the local morning news programs for WALA-TV ("FOX 10 News in the Morning"), WPMI-TV ("Local 15 Today"), and WEAR-TV ("3 in the Morning") each had video of a live news conference about police searching for a person suspected of shooting nine other persons to death at a church in Charleston, South Carolina this past Wednesday, June 17th.
- Today's edition of the local morning news program that WKRG-TV and their companion station (WFNA-TV) usually had on their main broadcast channels between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. from Monday through Friday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") did not begin until 5:04 a.m. due to their having special network programming from the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS) about the news conference mentioned in the first paragraph of this report.
- The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV's companion station (WFNA-TV) did not have the beginning of today's edition of the local morning news program mentioned in the second paragraph of this report like the one for WKRG-TV after the special report mentioned in the first two paragraphs of this report until 5:07 a.m. (the channel for WFNA-TV had videos of promotional advertisements for different network TV programs from the CW Television Network before having today's edition of the local morning news program).
