- This past Monday's edition of WPMI-TV's local midday news program ("Local 15 News at Noon") had a beginning of a live contest involving contestants for a national scholarship program based in Mobile eating raw oysters (the name of the scholarship program was Distinguished Young Women).
- A weather reporter for WKRG-TV on this past Monday's edition of their local 6:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 6") told its audience about lightning striking their broadcast facility in Mobile during its broadcast (the program had audio and video problems shortly after the time he said the strike occurred ("15 minutes earlier"); as for his name, it was Alan Sealls).
- One of the images for the "Meet Our Team" section of the official World
Wide Web site for WALA-TV (it featured a news presenter for their local
news programming named Lenise Ligon) had been replaced by one that was
more similar to its other images (the image that was replaced had a setting and a length that differed significantly from those of the other images).
