News for Friday, June 10th, 2016
- Earlier this week, the main broadcast channels for WALA-TV and WPMI-TV had some new commercial advertisements for a lawyer from their local broadcast area who was accused of driving while intoxicated before being cleared of having done so back in May (the name of the lawyer was David Maloney).
- The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV occasionally had an advertisement about a business in their local broadcast area sponsoring a group of syndicated TV programs involving either one "doctor" ("The Dr. Oz Show" and "The Dr. Phil Show") or several "doctors" ("The Doctors") in their regular programming plan for Monday through Friday over the past year (the group was usually called "The Afternoon Doc Block" in their advertising of it).
- The news presenter for the local news program WPMI-TV had in their programming between 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. this past Thursday on the ninth day of this June (Kelly Jones on "Local 15 News at Noon") used part of its broadcast that day to make personal comments about a report it had about an illness commonly called Parkinson's Disease immediately after the report (this is what she said: "It gives Parkinson's patients hope. My granddaddy died recently from that, so I like that").
