- The son of one of the hosts for a local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles ("Studio 10" for WALA-TV) and the field reporter for one of the local news programs for WPMI-TV ("Local 15 Today") was on the program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles this past Friday on the tenth day of this June (the name of the son was Eli Emer; the name of the host was Joe Emer; the name of the reporter was Katie Emer, even though she was usually called "Katie Herrera" by members of her station).
- WALA-TV had some announcements in their local news programming about two syndicated TV programs of theirs ("Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune") being set to be part of their main programming feed during time periods in which they were usually not part of its programming (2:00 a.m to 3:00 a.m.* this Saturday) due to their plan to have soccer programming from their main provider of network programming (the FOX Broadcasting Company) on the feed during the time period in which those programs were usually not part of its programming from Monday through Friday (6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.) this past Friday.
- The news presenter on the local news program WKRG-TV had in their programming between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. this Saturday (Bill Riales on "WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday"*) used part of its broadcast to say that they were working with a "sister station" of theirs in the city of Albuquerque in the state of New Mexico to provide "complete coverage" of a funeral for a former member of a naval aviation program based in their local broadcast area (the name of the "sister station" (KRQE-TV) was not mentioned; the name of the aviation program was the Blue Angels; as for what the news presenter meant by the phrase "sister station", he meant the station was related to theirs due to their ownership by the same holding (or "parent") company (Media General)).
(*the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV was usually set to have syndicated program named
"The People's Court" in this time period from Tuesday through Saturday in recent times)
(**the person who usually presented the local news programs WKRG-TV usually had in their programming on Saturday and Sunday mornings was absent this Saturday (his name was
Chad Petri))
