News for Tuesday, June 28th, 2016

• WKRG-TV had a promotional video about their being given the title of "Best News Operation" by the Associated Press of Alabama earlier this June in their programming this Tuesday.

• The local news program WFNA-TV had in their programming for the first time this past Monday on the twenty-seventh day of this June ("CW55 News at 9") had the same announcer normally used for promotional videos for some of their syndicated and network programs in recent times (the name of the announcer was Jim Cutler).

• A video with one of the news presenters for the local news operation at WALA-TV (Bob Grip) working for a TV station outside of southwest Alabama in the year 1981 was uploaded onto the official World Wide Web site for that station last Tuesday on the twenty-first day of this June (the name of this other station was WAVY-TV; as for where it was located, it was located in the city of Portsmouth in the state of Virginia).
