- The main broadcast channel for WFNA-TV recently had an advertisement about a new local news program being planned for its programming named "CW55 News at 9 [p.m.]" (according to the guides to the channel from Zap2it and TV Guide on the World Wide Web, all of the programs currently set to be part of its programming on a regular basis would continue to be part of its programming on a regular basis after the new program begins on the twenty-seventh day of this June (or the fourth Monday of this month) As for how often the new program would be part of its programming, it may be part of its programming as often as five days a week from Monday through Friday between 9:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.)
- One
of the members of the local news operation for WFNA-TV's companion station (WKRG-TV) who usually
presented news for the companion station's local 5:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 5")
from Monday through Friday in recent times appeared in the advertisement
for the new local news program mentioned in the first paragraph of this report along with the member of the operation who usually did weather reports
for the local news programs that were usually in the companion station's programming between 5:00 p.m. and 10:35 p.m. from
Monday through Friday in recent times (the name of the news presenter was Peter Albrecht; the name of the weather reporter was Alan Sealls).*
- Here is a transcript of the advertisement for the new local news program mentioned in the previous paragraphs: Peter Albrecht: "Hey, Pensacola. Great news, a new nine p.m.newscast is coming your way on the CW55. It's going to be a fast-paced newscast that gets right to it with the 'Top 9 at 9:00 [PM]' stories covering all of the Pensacola area. From local politics to military matters to what's happening; we've got it covered." Alan Sealls: "And I'll be handling your weather forecasts, preparing you for your workday or your beach day." Peter Albrecht: "More news, more weather, more Pensacola. See you June 27th at 9:00 p.m. on the CW55."
