(the following commentary was originally written last December, but not published back then (it was re-edited slightly since then to make it suitable for publication long after it was originally written))
- One of the weather reporters for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (John Nodar) had used some of the weather segments for the local news programming they had on the Friday of the eleventh day of this past December to promote the idea of wearing "Christmas Bermuda shorts" instead of a "Christmas Bermuda sweater" in weather conditions he had forecast for their broadcast area that day and the Saturday of the twelfth day of this past December.
- I guess the programming WPMI-TV had about a parade of boats near Orange Beach, Alabama on the Saturday of the twelfth day of this past December (the "Lighted Boat Parade") was part of a test; a test as to whether they could have such programming on a yearly basis since it did not last as long as WKRG-TV's programming about the Christmas parade that occurred in the city of Pensacola in the state Florida that day (the "Pensacola Christmas Parade") during the time period in which they had their programming about the parade of boats.
- One of the news presenters for today's edition of WKRG-TV's local 6:00 p.m. news program (Rose Ann Haven of "WKRG News 5 at 6") said, "That's 'FNA, baby" in reference to their companion station (WFNA-TV) while responding to the sports reporter for their own station (Randy Patrick Setterstrom) promoting a plan for the companion station have a football game involving teams from Alabama and Mississippi consisting of players representing different high schools in their respective states on the Saturday of the twelfth day of this past December (the name for the game was the "Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game".
