- One of the weather reporters for the local news operation at WALA-TV (Chasity Byrd) had used her position of hosting a local TV program of theirs dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles ("Studio 10") to say that she and a friend of hers (a person she was said to had "dated", according to the other host for the program (Joe Emer)) got engaged last Saturday on the nineteenth day of this June (she said the friend proposed their engagement).
