News for Saturday, June 18th, 2016

• The official Facebook page for the Alabama Public Radio station in southwest Alabama (WHIL-FM) was combined with the official Facebook page for Alabama Public Radio itself earlier this calendar week (it was set to occur by this past Wednesday on the fifteenth day of this June, according to two administrative messages that were posted onto the page for the station by then).

• The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV did not have a new local TV program that was set to be part of its programming for the first time on the Friday of the tenth day of this June or the Friday of the seventeenth day of June during the time period in which it was supposed to be part of its programming on a weekly basis (the name of the program was "The Point"; as for the time period in which it was supposed to be part of the programming of the channel, it was supposed to be from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.) 

• One of the news reporters for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (Debbie Williams) said this about members of a naval aviation program based in their local broadcast area ("The Blue Angels") while doing a report about them on the local news program they had in their programming between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. this past Thursday on the sixteenth day of this June: "We just are happy to see them back. Welcome back, Blue Angels, you have been missed here on the gulf coast" (one of the news presenters for the program (Rose Ann Haven) responded to her on the program shortly after she that by saying, "Yes they have been missed").
