News for Saturday, August 15th, 2015 (amended)

• A news presenter for WKRG-TV was inducted into the hall of fame for the Alabama Broadcasters Association today (his name was Mel Showers).  

• A camera operator for WPMI-TV (Guy Vania) appeared in the last segment of this past Thursday's edition of their local midday news program ("Local 15 Today") after the news presenter for the program (Kelly Jones) told him to do so after using the segment to celebrate his birthday that day (August 13th). 

• The programming feed for the official national cable TV and satellite TV programming service of the National Football League (the NFL Network) provided by Comcast Cablevision of Mobile had an alternative program in place of live programming of a live football game between the Falcons of Atlanta, Georgia, and the Titans of Tennessee that was on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV this past Friday, August 14th.
