- The main broadcast channel for WALA-TV recently had a promotional
advertisement in one of its commercial breaks about a local 10:00 p.m.
news program being added to their regular programming plans and that it would be part of the main channel's programming from Monday through Friday on a regular basis beginning with the Monday of August 24th.*
- According to the guides to the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV provided by Zap2it, TitanTV,
TV Guide, and the Comcast Corporation today, by the time they have a local 10:00 p.m. news program added to their regular programming plans by the Monday of this August 24th, the syndicated lifestyle program usually appeared on the channel between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. from Tuesday through Saturday in recent times ("The Better Show") would had been removed from their regular programming plans by then and comedic syndicated programs that usually preceded it between 10:02 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. ("Everybody Loves Raymond", "Hot in Cleveland" (two of its episodes were usually broadcast during this time period) "Raising Hope", "Cougar Town", "Friends" (see note about "Hot in Cleveland") and
"Seinfeld") in recent times would had been set to begin appearing on the channel 30 minutes later than usual on a regular basis by then (the programming guides had "paid programming" listed for the second half of the the time period that usually had "The Better Show").
(*the last time the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV had a local 10:00 p.m. news program from Monday through Friday on a regular basis was in September 2003)
