- An article about how a news presenter for WKRG-TV became eligible for being inducted into the hall of fame for the Alabama Broadcasters Association last Saturday, August 15th, was posted onto the official World Wide Web site for the association by this past Tuesday, August 14th (the name of the news presenter was Mel Showers).
- One of the hosts for WALA-TV's local entertainment and lifestyle program (Chasity Byrd of "Studio 10") mentioned that was she supposed to have a "health screening" as part of her position at WALA-TV by 11:00 a.m. today while hosting today's edition of the program (she was explaining why she could not eat one of the hot dogs on today's edition of the program).
