- Video recordings of past editions of local news programs for WALA-TV, WPMI-TV, and WEAR-TV dated for the year 1999 were uploaded onto the Internet video service YouTube on the Friday of last August 14th (you may access each recording by selecting the call letters of the stations in this paragraph).
- One of the news presenters for today's edition of WKRG-TV's local news program for the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. (Avery Cotton of "WKRG News 5 This Morning") used part of this edition to tell members of its audience that they would be seeing more of a certain person who appeared in a video recording for a report she had just presented (the name of this person was Alison Spann) before welcoming her as the newest reporter for WKRG-TV (the other news presenter for the program (Chad Petri*) also welcomed her before saying this past Monday, August 24th, was her first day in her position at WKRG-TV).
