News for Friday, November 24th, 2017

(note: one of the words in a previous report for this weblog named "News for Thursday, November 23rd, 2017" was corrected (the word "Thanksgiving" in one of its paragraphs was changed to "thanksgiving")) 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the twenty-third day of this November ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had a sports reporter for the local news operation at WKRG-TV (Robby Baker) appearing to express thanks for "touchdown celebrations", "people having an open mind", "creative costumes this year" (in regards to football), his "being part" of a certain "sports beat", a certain "Coke bottle" (or as he put: "that Coke bottle that [a certain] Nick Saban never seems to drink out of"), his family, for getting to "eat a little bit too much turkey and share a little thanksgiving time with them ['this afternoon before I came to work']" and for being part of "the News 5 family" (the news presenter for the program (Devon Walsh) appeared to respond to him with her saying, "Of course we're glad to have you here, Robby".*
  • The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV was set to have some national news programs from their main provider of network programming ("The CBS Overnight News", "The CBS Morning News", and "CBS This Morning" from the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) when it was usually set to have one of their own news programs from Monday through Friday in recent times ("WKRG News 5 This Morning" during last thirty-five minutes of the hour of 4:00 a.m. and the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.) on the Thursday of the twenty-third day of this November (it was set to have the one named "The CBS Overnight News" during the hour of 4:00 a.m.; the one named "The CBS Morning News" during the first and second halves of the hour of 5:00 a.m., and the one named "CBS This Morning" was set to appear on it during the hour of 6:00 a.m. that day).** 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the twenty-third day of this November ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m." and "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") each had video of a report concerning two certain persons with a narrator using the words "mom" and "dad" (in additional to personal names) in reference to them (the news presenter for the program that appeared on the channel during the hour of 9:00 p.m. (Lee Peck) said the subjects were the "mother" and "father" of an investigator for its news operation named Kati Weis while introducing it before saying that she and her family "want to wish everyone on the gulf coast a happy holidays" (the news presenter for the first program appeared to had been this Kati Weis (she had referred to the subjects of the report as her parents while introducing it before appearing to wish everybody a "happy thanksgiving" before appearing to express love toward her parents (this is what she said while doing so: "Love you, mom and dad")).***
(*both she and the sports reporter was were not usually part of installments of the program for Monday through Friday in recent times)
(**the channel was usually set to have the one named "The CBS Overnight News" only during the last fifty seven minutes of the hour of 2:00 a.m. and the hours 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. from Tuesday through Friday and only the first five minutes of the hour of 2:00 a.m. in addition the other ones on Monday in recent times whereas it was usually set to have the one named "The CBS Morning News" during the first twenty-five minutes of the hour of 4:00 a.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times in).

(***the news presenter named Lee Peck was usually one only for installments of the program that appeared on the channel during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on Sunday in recent times whereas the one named Kati Weis was usually one only for certain news programs that appeared on the channel on Saturday evenings in recent times (the one named Lee Pack was also a news reporter for such programs in recent times))
