News for Tuesday, November 21st, 2017

(note: one of the paragraphs for the previous report for this weblog ("News for Monday, November 20th, 2017") was corrected)
  • A World Wide Web site specialized in auctions named eBay appeared to have had an auction involving a pin based on a former logo for WALA-TV since the Friday of the seventeenth day of this November (its length of time appeared to had been set to end on the Monday of the twenty-seventh day of this November)).
  • The main broadcast channel for the Alabama Public Television station located in southwest Alabama (WEIQ-TV) was usually set to have an installment of a national TV program named "Charlie Rose" during the hour of 6:00 a.m. from Monday through Friday in recent times until this Tuesday (it had an installment of a different national TV program in place of it during that hour this Tuesday (its name was "Antiques Roadshow" (update for Wednesday, November 22nd, 2017: the channel had an installment of another national TV program during the same hour (its name was "Finding Your Roots")).*
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. this Tuesday ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) presenting a report concerning certain entities with similar names in an awkward and opinionated way (this is how the report was presented: "The Flora-Bama with an "A" - Flora - is calling out a new reality show that MTV is working on: it's called the 'Floribama' - with an 'I' - for 'Floribama Shore'. Well the bar says that the show is using its reputation and name to promote itself -- the real Flora-Bama released a statement that says in part we have asked them to stop - they refused - it went on to say there is only one Flora-Bama and quote, 'May they will listen to you'. Then it listed the names of the company's presidents and CEOs).**
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. this Tuesday and the Monday twentieth day of this November ("WKRG News 5 at 10") did not have any news presenters introducing his self or her self in accordance with previous appearances of it (or previous installments of them) on the channel during that hour before this calendar week in recent times (those appearances usually had a news presenter doing so within the first two minutes) as for what it had in the first two minutes of its appearances on the channel this Tuesday and the aforementioned Monday; both of them had audio of a news presenter presenting a news report after an animated opening sequence that usually preceded announcements of "breaking news" within the first two minutes of certain appearances of it during that hour in recent times (note: the appearance for the aforementioned Monday did not have a news presenter using the words "breaking news" like the announcer for the sequence)).***
(*A Facebook page attributed to Alabama Public Television had a message from a Facebook page related to a national TV program named "The PBS NewsHour" dated for the Monday of the twentieth day of this November stating their main provider of network programming (the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)) would immediately suspend their distributing of the program named "Charlie Rose")

(**the program had the following text as the report was being presented: "VIACOM PRESIDENT & CEO - BOB BAKISH" and "MTV PRESIDENT - CHRIS MCCARTHY")

(***the report the proceeded the sequence in its appearance on the channel during the hour for the aforementioned Monday concerned a group of councilors for one of the cities in the local broadcast area for WKRG-TV whereas the report the proceeded the sequence in its appearance on the channel during the hour this Tuesday concerned a certain person having died earlier this Tuesday
