News for Monday, November 13th, 2017

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the twelfth day of this November ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") had a graphic with the word " 'canes" within a group of graphics for a report concerning the number of tropical cyclones (or "hurricanes") that had formed over the Atlantic Ocean earlier this calendar year (they were part of the program dedicated to weather). 
  • A Facebook page attributed to WALA-TV had a message attributed to its administration dated for the Sunday of the twelfth day of this November concerning a certain interview with a certain person connected to a certain publication related to WALA-TV due to their being part of a holding company named the Meredith Corporation (note: the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Friday of the tenth day of this November ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") had its news presenters presenting a report similar to the message). 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 5:00 p.m. this Monday ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.") appeared to have one of its news presenters (Bob Grip) asking one of its news reporters (Lee Peck), "A good turnout?" in reference to a certain meeting from which he said the reporter was broadcasting and the reporter appearing to say, "A great turnout" in response to the question (the news presenter said the reporter was "live" at the meeting while introducing him on the program from what appeared to be its set (the program had each of them in separate digital boxes during the introduction)). 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the twelfth day of this November ("WKRG News 5 at 10") had its news presenter (Ashley Knight) saying a certain Jimmy Hart was a "WWW hall of famer" while presenting a report of a plan for him to visit the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama whereas the local news program that appeared on it during the second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. and the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. afterwards on this Monday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") had its own news presenters (Bill Riales and Jessica Taloney) saying the Jimmy Hart mentioned in the report for the other program was a "WWE hall of famer" while presenting other reports of the type of plan mentioned in that report. 
  • A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Monday of the thirteenth day of this November ("Studio 10") had one of its hosts (Joe Emer) appearing to say one of the weather reporters for the local news operation at WALA-TV (Matt Barrentine) had just "walked in" before appearing to say "happy birthday"* to him (its other host (Michael White)** also appeared to say "happy birthday" to him immediately after the other one) before saying the reporter "shares a birthday" with a certain "Leonardo DiCaprio" and "[that it was] hard to tell which one is better looking" (the host named Michael White appeared to be laughing immediately after that) before having audio of his saying "That one! That's the answer!" with video of what appeared to had been that very reporter (he appeared to be sitting in a dark room).*
