News for Monday, November 6th, 2017

  • A Facebook page attributed to a person named Alyssa Kaitlyn Newton had a message attributed to her dated for the Sunday of the fifth day of this November stating she had accepted a certain type of position at WPMI-TV.*
  • The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on the Monday of the sixth day of this November ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m." and "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") each had one of their news presenters (Bob Grip and Lenise Ligon) introducing a certain video pertaining to a plan for some weather reporters for their news operation to hold a public meeting at a casino/hotel in the city of Atmore in southwest Alabama on the Tuesday of the seventh day of this November 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 4:00 a.m. and the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. this Friday ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") had at least one of its contributors using a phrase normally used in videos for promoting their companion station ("The Gulf Coast's CW" for WFNA-TV)** while presenting one of its reports (this is how one of those contributors (a news presenter named Jessica Taloney) was using it for at least one of those reports: "The Gulf Coast's CW and WKRG News 5 have been investigating...")) 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV during the first half of the hour of 5:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the fifth day of this November ("NBC 15 News at 5 [p.m.]") had its news presenter (Andrea Ramey) introducing a certain video pertaining to a national TV program from their main provider of network programming dedicated to the sport of football that was to be part of its programming by the hour of 7:00 p.m. later that Sunday (she had described it as a "preview" of the program; as for the names of the program and its provider, they were "Sunday Night Football" and the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) respectively).  
(*the Facebook page attributed to her also had messages stating she had other positions of WPMI-TV and positions at other stations specialized in broadcasting in southwest Alabama (WNSP-FM, Jag TV, and the Prowl))

(**WKRG-TV and WFNA-TV were related to each other due to their being part of a holding company named the Nexstar Media Group)
