News for Saturday, April 14th, 2018

  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the twelfth day of this April ("WKRG News 5 at 6") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Rose Ann Haven) saying, "Hard-to-look-at" in reference to a certain video for a report of its existence.  
  • The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the twelfth day of this April ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its reporters (Kendra Turley) saying, "We see this job on TV all the time, but in reality what's the hardest part about this job" to a certain person for a report related to a certain type of job (a dispatcher).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the eleventh day of this April ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have had its news presenter (Lenise Ligon) saying, "We've got a crazy story out of Gulf Shores", "We'll tell you more about this strange story next", and "Talking now to our Pensacola neighbors: Police need to know if you've fallen victim to a scam" for some of its reports. 
  • The first part of the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the twelfth day of this April ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Byron Day) saying, "Our number priority here at FOX 10 is your safety, so let's get the latest information from our chief meteorologist Jason Smith"  before having a report of "severe weather" from the "Jason Smith" he appeared to had mentioned and "I appreciate you guys--you know, making sure that we are all informed -- that we're all going to safe during all this bad weather that's coming up this upcoming weekend" to him after appearing to have had another report related to weather being presented by him.
  • The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the twelfth day of this April ("FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m.") appeared to have had one of its reporters (a news reporter named Toi Thornton) saying, "The group I went with arrested one person, but one other person who wasn't home when deputies arrived, got the message real quick and ended up doing the right thing -- he turned himself in" for one of its reports (the local news programs that appeared on the channel during the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. earlier that day ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m." and "FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m." respectively) each appeared to have had the same reporter saying a similar phrase for a similar report (note: a World Wide Web site related to WALA-TV also appeared to have had a video of his saying a similar phrase for a similar report). 
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the twelfth day of this April appeared to have had one of its news presenters (Rose Ann Haven) saying, "We need your help to find justice for Anesa -- so we've posted this video on our WKRG Facebook page -- please share it and help Mobile police put the person responsible behind bars" for ones of its reports (note: some of the local news programming WKRG-TV had on their main broadcast channel on the Friday of the thirteenth day of this April had similar presentations by other news presenters of theirs (note #2: this is the full version of the report the news presenter named Rose Ann Haven appeared to had been presenting: "Funeral arrangements have been announced for the high-school girl shot at a teen concert Easter Sunday and died ten days later -- Anesa Baker's funeral will be Tuesday at Little Welcome Baptist Church at eleven in the morning and it is open to the public. The fifteen-year-old freshman at McGill-Toolen High School passed away yesterday. She was shot at the Grand Hall events center on Halls Mill Road on Easter weekend. Four other teens were shot, two others trampled -- we have reached out to the Mobile Police Department to see where the now-murder investigation stands, but, we haven't gotten any new information.")).
