News for Tuesday, April 24th, 2018

(note: one of the paragraphs in the previous report for this weblog ("News for Monday, April 25th, 2018") was corrected)
  • A Facebook page related to radio in the city of Mobile in southwest Alabama named "On Air Mobile Area Radio Broadcasters" appeared to had been created earlier this April (specifically the Wednesday of the eleventh day of this April).
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the second half of the hour of 6:00 p.m. on the Monday of the twenty-third day of this April ("WKRG News 5 at 6:30") appeared to have had one of its reporters (a sports reporter named Randy Patrick Setterstrom) being told, "All right, Randy, the Mobile Sports Hall of Fame banquet is tomorrow tonight. You and Lee Shirvanian -- a couple of broadcasting legends are going to be honored and six people are being inducted into the hall -- it should be a great night" by one of its news presenters (Peter Albrecht) and his telling the news presenter,"Yeah, we're looking forward to it tomorrow night at the Battle House hotel and you're the president of the organization--" immediately afterwards for a part of it related to sports (note #1: a Facebook page related to WKRG-TV appeared to had been used by its administration to stream live video of a ceremony related to what they appeared to had been discussing this Tuesday (note #2: a World Wide Web site related to WKRG-TV appeared to have had a recording of the video for a part of it related to the ceremony itself)).
  • The news presenter for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. on the Sunday of the twenty-second day of this April ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Sunday") appeared to had been a member of their news operation who was usually not the news presenters for installments of it that were part of the programming of the channel in those periods of time on Sunday before this one in recent times (note #1: the program appeared to have had the member who was usually not its news presenter conducting a type of interview that was usually part of those installments (a "Faith Time" interview) with the one who was usually their news presenter appearing to conduct them (note #2: the name of the member who was not usually its news presenter was Katarina Luketich; the name of the member who was usually its news presenter was Chad Petri (note #3: a certain part of a World Wide Web site related to WKRG-TV that usually appeared to had hyperlinks to recordings of the type of interviews mentioned earlier did not appear to had had a hyperlink to a recording of the one mentioned in the first note for this paragraph))).
  • The news presenter for the local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 p.m. on the Sunday of the twenty-second day of this April ("FOX 10 News at 9:00 p.m.") appeared to have a certain member of their news operation who was usually not one of the news presenters for installments of it that were part of its programming in this period of time on Sunday in recent times (Byron Day) whereas the ones who were usually its news presenters for those installments (Shelby Myers and Lee Peck) were among its reporters (example #1: it appeared to have had the one named Byron Day saying, "Police have identified the man they say drowned at Pass Picada trying to get away from cops; they were chasing him for stealing cigarettes. Spanish Fort Police tell us they believe Amos Rudolph Junior was stealing those smokes from a Spanish Fort Dollar General..." for one of its reports (example #2: it appeared to have had the same Byron Day saying, "Shelby, things got a little tense today in Foley, huh?" and the Shelby Myers mentioned earlier saying, "Byron, it really did; it was a beautiful day -- it looked liked out here, but during that time a tornado did touch down; the National Weather Service did confirm that an EF0 tornado touched down in this Foley area. Now the hardest hit area they say was the Anchors Aweigh RV park, which is just up the road about a mile up from here. It also did do some damage to the Lowes you see here right behind me as well, but the hardest hit area also did get some -- Anchors Aweigh got the brunt of it. Five RVs were flipped on their side; at least four people went to the hospital, two of those had to be extricated from their RVs that had flipped, so it was a crazy day for folks just either on their vacation or -- my aunt and uncle were actually in that RV Park; not at the time, fortunately, but they did actually have their RV there staying -- they were playing ball in the area...")).
