News for Saturday, April 21st, 2018 (updated)

  • The main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV appeared to have had an announcement regarding a paid program with a graphic related to it (including text related to the announcement itself) before having special news programming from their main provider of network programming (the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS)) immediately afterwards at the beginning of the hour of 11:00 a.m. this Saturday.
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Friday of the twentieth day of this April ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") appeared to have had its news presenter (Devon Walsh) saying, "The worst natural disaster disaster the gulf coast has ever seen" for a report of a certain anniversary ("Well today is the eighth anniversary explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico: an explosion and fire on board the oil rig triggered the worst natural disaster the gulf coast has ever seen").
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the first half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. on the Friday of the twentieth day of this April ("WKRG News 5 at Noon") appeared to have had its news presenter (Devon Walsh) conducting an interview with a certain person regarding a certain type of cancer associated with male and female persons (breast cancer) without either one of them ever referencing either a male person or male persons in general (a Facebook page related to WKRG-TV appeared to had live video of the same news presenter conducting another interview with the same person regarding the same type of cancer during the second half of the hour of 12:00 p.m. that day). 
  • A certain part of a World Wide Web site related to WKRG-TV that usually appeared to have had hyperlinks to profiles of certain persons who were usually either news reporters or reporters for some of the local news programming that was part of the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV on a regular basis in recent times usually did not appear to have had hyperlinks to the ones named Jason Carter and Taylor Sarallo  in recent times (note: the one named Jason Carter was usually the news presenter for some of the local news programming it had on Saturday and Sunday evenings since this past March whereas the one named Taylor Sarallo for usually the weather reporter for some of the local news programming it had on Saturday and Sunday mornings since then).
  • A local TV program dedicated to entertainment and lifestyles that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hour of 9:00 a.m. on the Friday of the twentieth day of this April ("Studio 10") appeared to have one of its hosts (Chasity Byrd) saying this to a certain guest of hers and its other host (Joe Emer) for a certain part of it related to cooking: "We have to mention, too -- I saw on, on Jeff Collier -- the mayor of Dauphin Island -- his, his Facebook page earlier about today being the anniversary of the oil spill -- man, I can't tell you -- I remember it like yesterday, I was reporting at the time down on the beach" (note: the host named Chasity Byrd was a news reporter for some of the local news programs that were part of the programming of the channel before then).  
  • The local news programs that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WALA-TV during the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. on the Thursday of the nineteenth day of this April ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m." and "FOX 10 News at 10:00 p.m." respectively) each appeared to have had video of a certain person saying, "This show that you feature, 'Caught in the Act' -- somebody recognized them and believed they saw them at the rear of a local business asleep in a vehicle. Officers responded to the location where they did actually find them and were confirmed to be the subjects that were featured on your show -- this show actually is a good show because as we see we had someone recognize someone" for certain parts of them involving graphics resembling the words "Caught in the Act".   
  • The local news program that appeared on the main broadcast channel for WKRG-TV during the hour of 5:00 a.m. on the Saturday of the twenty-first day of this April ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday") appeared to have had audio of a different voice being used for a type of announcement often used for the last segments of local news programs that were part of its programming in recent times instead of the one normally used for such an announcement (note: both voices were used for an announcement of the following statement: "WKRG aerial footage: sponsored by Greene and Phillips" (update for Tuesday: April 24th, 2018: the last segment for the local news program that appeared on the channel during the first half of the hour of 10:00 p.m. on the Monday of the twenty-third day of this April ("WKRG News 5 at 10") appeared to have had an announcement of the statement involving the voice normally used for its broadcasts of it)).
