- A digital "countdown clock" with the remaining time for when a Carnival parade was expected to start in Mobile's down-town area today was superimposed on today's edition of WALA-TV's local 5:00 p.m. news program ("FOX 10 News at 5:00 p.m.").
- According to a news report
that was part of WKRG-TV's local news programming this past Thursday
(the 21st day of this January), one of their news reporters
(Allen Carter) was allowed to witness an execution at Holman Prison in
Atmore, Alabama that day.
- According to the official Facebook page for WPMI-TV and the guides to the main broadcast channel for WPMI-TV's companion station (WJTC-TV) provided by Zap2it, TitanTV, and TV Guide, WPMI-TV was set to have special programming about certain Carnival parades that may occur in Mobile's down-town area between now and the end of the Carnival season for this calendar year on the main broadcast channel for the companion station and for their own main broadcast channel.
