News for Friday, January 29th, 2016
- According to the official Facebook and Twitter pages for WAVH-FM, their director of operations and host for some of their local radio programs (Sean Sullivan of "Mobile Mornings" and "Midday Mobile") was set to appear on WKRG-TV's local 5:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 5") this past Thursday (the 28th day of this January).
- Today's edition of WKRG-TV's local 9:00 a.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 9") had a disclaimer about Alfa Insurance
and the GulfQuest National Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico having
been paid to sponsor two camera networks for WKRG-TV (this is the way
the disclaimer appeared on the program: "Alfa Insurance and GulfQuest
Museum are paid sponsors of the Alfa Sky Cam and GulfQuest Museum Cam
networks").
- Some of the news presenters for WALA-TV had used their local news
programming to talk about their having a float set to appear in a parade planned for the city of Daphne in southwest Alabama today and
about one of their fellow news presenters being part of the plan for such a parade (the folks set to hold a parade today were called "Apollo's Mystic Ladies"; the name of the news presenter in their plan for this parade was Lenise Ligon).
