- WKRG-TV had a paid commercial program take the place of a new edition of a network news program from their main provider of network programming titled "The CBS Evening News" in their programming for this Saturday.
- Some of the video recordings on the World Wide Web site for an Internet video service named YouTube include a former weather reporter and "feature reporter" for WKRG-TV who died in the previous calendar year (2015) named William (Jere) Hough (one of the recordings has him in a promotional advertisement for WKRG-TV that would appear on the site if it were played from its beginning for about 18 seconds whereas another one has him interviewing a person on a local news program for WKRG-TV).
- The news presenter for this Saturday's edition of WKRG-TV's local news program for Saturday mornings ("WKRG News 5 This Morning: Saturday") and one of the news presenters for this past Friday's edition of their local 10:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 10") said "NBC" instead of "ESPN" while presenting reports about the way the "half-time" show for a recent collegiate football game was broadcast by a TV programming service named ESPN (its name stood for Entertainment and Sports Programming Network).
