News for Wednesday, January 20th, 2016
- Today's edition of WKRG-TV's local 6:00 p.m. news program ("WKRG News 5 at 6") had a report about one of the news presenters and news reporters for their news operation (Bill Riales) being the victim of a scam.
- One of the weather reporters for WKRG-TV (John Nodar) said they had a
new camera on the broadcast tower for their broadcast facility in Mobile
while presenting video he said was from
the camera on their local news program for the hours of 5:00 a.m. and
6:00 a.m. ("WKRG News 5 This Morning") and their local news program for
the first half of the hour of 9:00 a.m. ("WKRG News 5 at 9") this past Monday (the 18th day of this January).
-
The local news program for the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. for
WKRG-TV had some of the music of a group of musicians named
"The Eagles" precede news about the death of one of the founders of the
group (Glenn Frey) immediately after some of its breaks for commercial and
promotional advertisements (the program usually did not have music other
than its own music immediately after such breaks before today whereas
the local news program for the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. for
WPMI-TV ("Local 15 Today") usually did).
